Luthando Kaka left the Velokhaya Life Cycling Academy in 2010 to join a top South African road cycling team based in Johannesburg.
He continues to serve the organisation as an active and enthusiastic Board member and continues to be an inspiration and a positive role model to many young cyclists at Velokhaya. Follow this rising star in South African cycling on Twitter @Luthandokaka.
Prior to joining Mxit Reach, Lea-Anne worked for Safmarine (Pty) Ltd, A.P. Moller-Maersk, Capitec Bank and has held various positions within media. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism and Media Studies degree from Rhodes University and sits on the board of the Velokhaya Life Cycling Academy. At Reach, she is responsible for stakeholder engagement and expansion.
Thembisile is a qualified golf teaching professional and together with a background in sports science has always had a passion to help develop young sportsmen and women to achieve their goals. He has served as the chairman of the Khayelitsha Sports Council as well as on the committee of the Khayelitsha Development Forum and therefor brings a wealth of experience – and the best interests of the community – to the Velokhaya board.
